About Us

In 1996, W. Hunter Electric was formed by Wayne and Kim Hunter, who set out to help customers looking for a reliable electrician. Sheldon Janzen joined the team in 1998 and became co-owner in 2005. They wanted to build a company that not only did great work, but also focused on giving the customer the best possible customer service and instilled confidence in the client.

Today, our customers come to us because we’ve built a reputation as a residential and commercial electrical contractor that focuses on a great experience, no matter what the client may need. We still provide excellent basic electrical construction services but have grown and can provide design and installation services for new residential and commercial construction, renovations, home automation, and standby generators.

We are forward-looking and always keep up with the latest developments in electrical technology for our clients. Sometimes we can inform you of advances that have been made in electronics that could benefit you and your family that you may not even be aware of.

While our team has grown over the years, every team member upholds the values that founded our company: safety, respect, integrity, professionalism, reliability, and an overall commitment to quality on every project we do.

Keeping our customers, our staff and our job sites safe is a priority at W Hunter Electric. We hold a Certificate Of Recognition (COR) from Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association and are a member in good standing with the Saskatchewan Safety Council.
